Transponder Key Programming

Originate New Master Key (PK3 or PK3+ stamped on blade)

1. Insert new key into ignition cylinder and turn it to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten minutes.

2. When the security light goes out, you have one minute to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back to the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten more minutes.

3. (2nd step repeated) When the security light goes out, you have one minute to start the next step. Turn the ignition cylinder to OFF and then back on the ON (RUN) position. The security light on the dash will illuminate and stay on for ten more minutes.

4. After the security light has gone off the third time, the key has been programmed into the vehicle’s computer and will operate the car.
(NOTE) It has replaced ALL the previous electronic key codes and is the ONLY key programmed into the vehicle’s computer.

WORKS FOR: 1998 - 2001 All Lexus & Toyota vehicles

ADD KEY

One black master key required. NOT GRAY VALET KEY

1. Simultaneously press and release brake and accelerator pedals 1 time.

2. Insert existing master key into ignition and turn it to ON (accessory) position.

3. Within 15 seconds press and release accelerator pedal 5 times.

4. Within 20 seconds press and release the brake pedal 6 times and remove key.

5. Within 10 seconds insert new cut key into ignition.

6. Within 10 seconds press and release the accelerator pedal 1 time.

7. After 80 seconds new key is registered and security light goes off.

8. Remove new key and press and release brake pedal 1 time.

WORKS FOR: 2000 - 2003 Toyota Prius

ADD KEY

Notice: Some Toyota vehicles won’t take any on board programming. If neither instructions work for you after a few tries, you may need to go to the dealership.

1. Make sure all doors and windows are closed.

2. Insert black master key into the ignition cylinder.

3. Cycle the ignition cylinder from ON to OFF 5 times. (ON then OFF is 1 time)

4. Open and close the driver side door 6 times.

5. Remove the master key and insert the new cut key.

6. TURN THE IGNITION CYLINDER ON.

7. The new key will be registered after 60 seconds. The THEFT light on the dashboard will go out, indicating that programming has been completed.

WORKS FOR: 2000 - 2008 S TYPE; 2002 - 2007 X TYPE; 2004 - 2009 XJ SERIES

REMOTE PART PROGRAMMING

Most XJ  models:
1. Open driver’s door. Hold the high beam selector arm towards you.

2. Insert ignition key and turn to first position (accessory).

3. Release the high beam selector and then pull and release it 4 times. After the fourth time, you will hear a chime.

4. Press the lock button on each remote to program it in. All remotes, even existing remotes) have to be programmed in again otherwise they’ll become inoperable.

Most X-Type and S-Type models:
1. Get in the car and close all doors.

2. Insert the key into the ignition lock and turn ON and OFF 4 times.

3. Remove the key and you should hear a chime.

4. Press the lock button on each remote to program it in. All remotes, even existing remotes) have to be programmed in again otherwise they’ll become inoperable.

5. Open the door to close the cycle.

Explorer & Mountaineer start with step 1, all others start with step 2

1. Close all doors and then open drivers door and press the UNLOCK button on drivers door panel while door is open and insert key in ignition.

2. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

3. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.

4. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.

5. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

Please use these instructions for a Ford Focus ONLY!!

1. Enter vehicle and put seat belt on.

2. Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN 4 times within 6 seconds.

3. Turn the ignition OFF. The system will chime to confirm programming mode.

4. Within 20 seconds, press any button on first keyless remote. The system will chime once to confirm programming.

5. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote. System will chime once to confirm programming.

6. Turn ignition to RUN to exit programming mode.
