2003 - 2011 Mazda Keys

WORKS FOR: 2007 - 2011 CX-7; 2007 - 2011 CX-9; 2004 - 2011 MAZDA3; 2006 - 2010 MAZDA5; 2003 - 2011 MAZDA6; 2006 - 2011 MX-5 MIATA; 2004 - 2011 MAZDA RX8; 2011 MAZDA2

ADD KEY

To program new keys by yourself, you must have 2 already programmed, working keys. If you only have 1 working key, programming must be done
at a professional locksmith shop or the dealership!

1. Insert first existing key into the ignition cylinder.

2. Turn the key to ON position (Do NOT start the engine!). Wait until the security light turns off.

3. Turn key back to OFF and remove from ignition.  Within five seconds, insert second existing key and
turn it to ON, then back OFF.

4. Insert the new key within 10 seconds. Turn to ON, leave for one second and turn back to OFF position.

5. The security light will light up for three seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.

2000 - 2008 Jaguar Keys

WORKS FOR: 2000 - 2008 S TYPE; 2002 - 2007 X TYPE; 2004 - 2009 XJ SERIES

ADD KEY

Two working sentry keys are needed for these instructions. If you don?t have two working keys, programming will need to be done by an automotive locksmith or dealership with special tools.

1. Insert first working key into the ignition cylinder.

2. Turn the ignition to ON position for 1 second. Turn to OFF and remove key.

3. Insert second working key into the ignition cylinder.

4. Turn the ignition to ON position for 1 second. Turn to OFF and remove key.

5. Within 10 seconds, insert new cut key and turn to ON position for 1 second. Turn to OFF.

6. The security light will light up for 3 seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed. To program additional keys, repeat steps 1 through 5.

These instructions will work for most vehicles; however some vehicles will not accept any on board programming instructions. If you are unsuccessful with the instructions provided, you will need to take the vehicle and key/remote to and automotive locksmith or dealership for programming.

1998 - 2011 Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep Keys

WORKS FOR 1998 - 2011 CHRYSLER, DODGE & JEEP TRANSPONDER KEYS, REMOTE KEYS & FOBIK KEYS

ADD KEY

To add a duplicate key you must have two working keys. If you do not have two working keys, programming must be done at an automotive locksmith or dealer.

1. Insert the first working key into the ignition and turn to the ON (RUN) position.

2. After the key has been in the ON position for at least 3 seconds, but no more than 15 seconds turn the key back to OFF and remove.

3. Insert the second working key and turn to the ON position within 15 seconds. (The second key cannot be the same as the first key.)

4. A theft alarm light should illuminate after 10 seconds and a single chime sound will indicate entry into the programming mode.

5. Turn the key to the OFF position within 60 seconds and remove the key.

6. Insert the new cut key and turn to the ON position.

7.  After approximately 10 seconds, a single chime will sound and the theft alarm light will stop. Wait 3 seconds and turn to the OFF position.

8. The above steps must be repeated for additional keys.

1998 and Up Ford Keys

WORKS FOR: 1998 and up Ford, Linclon & Mercury Transponder Keys.

To program new keys by yourself, you must have 2 already programmed, working keys. If you only have 1 working key, programming must be done at a professional locksmith shop or the dealership!

1. Insert first existing key into the ignition cylinder.

2. Turn the key to ON position (Do NOT start the engine!). Wait until the security light turns off.

3. Turn key back to OFF and remove from ignition.  Within five seconds, insert second existing key and turn it to ON, then back OFF.

4. Insert the new key within 10 seconds. Turn to ON, leave for one second and turn back to OFF position.

5. The security light will light up for three seconds to indicate that the new key has been successfully programmed.

 

Toyota Remotes (most common)

IMPORTANT: Start this procedure with the driver?s door open, and the key removed from the ignition.  You may then proceed as follows

1. Within 5 seconds insert and remove the key from the ignition cylinder twice.

2. Within 40 seconds close and open driver's door twice.

3. Insert and remove the key from the ignition cylinder.

4. Close and open driver's door twice.

5. Insert the key into the ignition cylinder and close the driver's door.

6. Within 40 seconds switch ignition ON and OFF once.

7. Remove key from ignition switch:

8. System should now lock and unlock vehicle.

9. Within 40 seconds press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds.

10. Within 3 seconds press LOCK button.

11. System should now lock and unlock vehicle once to confirm registration, twice to indicate registration has failed.

12. Within 40 seconds repeat button procedure to program remaining remote transmitters.

Ford Smart Keys

WORKS FOR: 2009 - 2010 Ford Taurus: 2009 - 2010 Linclon MKS

Ensure that the vehicle is off before beginning this procedure. Ensure that all doors are closed before beginning this procedure and that all doors remain closed throughout the procedure. Perform this procedure exactly as described below, and perform all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence. If any steps are performed out of sequence, stop and wait for at least one minute before starting again.
Please read and understand the entire procedure before you begin.

1. Place the new unprogrammed Intelligent Access Key in the pocket inside the glove box.

2. Press the driver or passenger power door unlock control three times.

3. Press and release the brake pedal one time.

4. Press the driver or passenger power door lock control three times.

5. Press and release the brake pedal one time. The indicator on the Start/Stop button should begin to rapidly flash, indicating that programming mode has been entered and two programmed Intelligent Access Keys have been detected in the vehicle.

6. Within one minute, press the Start/Stop button. A message will be displayed on the message center indicating that the new Intelligent Access Key was programmed. If four Intelligent Access Keys have already been programmed to your vehicle, you cannot program anymore and the message MAX # OF FOBS LEARNED will be displayed on the message center.

7. Remove from glove box pocket and press the UNLOCK or LOCK (symbols) control on the newly programmed Intelligent Access Keys to exit programming mode.

8. Verify that the remote entry functions operate (lock, unlock) and that the vehicle starts with new Intelligent Access Key.

 

1997-1998 Ford Keys

WORKS FOR: 1997 Ford, Linclon & Mercury; 1998 Navigator & Expedition

Originate New Master Key

1. Put new key into ignition and turn to (ON) position. Once the security light stops flashing (approx 15 min.), you will have 5 min. to begin step 2.

2. Turn the key from (ON) to (OFF) then back to (ON). The security light will flash for another 15 min.

3. Repeat step (2).

4.The security light will turn off for the 3rd time. The key is now programmed and all previous keys will be deleted from memory.

1997-1998 Duplicate Keys

WORKS FOR: 1997 Ford, Linclon & Mercury; 1998 Navigator & Expedition

Add Duplicate Key

1. Put working key into ignition.

2. Turn the ignition to (ON) then to (OFF).

3. Within 15 seconds, remove working key, insert new key and turn to (ON).

4. The security light will flash for 2 seconds if the key programmed successfully.

GM Duplicate Keys

One working master working key required. ("+" or "PK3" stamped on blade)

1. Insert the existing programmed key into the ignition cylinder.

2. Turn the ignition cylinder to ON (RUN) and back to OFF.

3. Remove the existing key and within 15 seconds, insert the new cut key and turn it to ON(RUN).

4. The security light will light up for 2 seconds to indicate success. If your vehicle does not have a security light, wait 11 min to make sure programming is complete.

5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for additional keys.
