SCION Keyless remotes and transponder chip keys

If you lose your Scion key or your Scion remote, you must seek replacements from the manufacturer or from a vendor who can program and sell you a new Scion replacement key or a Scion replacement remote. This is because your key is a Scion chip key, meaning that it contains a chip so that your car can identify it; a duplicate key with no chip will be unsuccessful in starting the car. Additionally, without the remote, your keyless entry system will not work. These newly programmed items should work with your car as well as their original counterparts did.
