If your late model Buick is equipped with a Buick keyless entry system, then you have a Buick remote that sends a signal specific to your car to lock and unlock the doors. Additionally, for security purposes, your car will only start if you use a Buick chip key. Your Buick key cannot be replaced with a key made at the local hardware store.
